Shiane Haynes, DOB 6/30/99, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection to a December 2024 overdose death.

The indictment stems from a KPD Organized Crime Unit and Drug-Related Death Task Force investigation into the overdose death of a 40-year-old woman at a hotel on Cedar Bluff Road.

The investigation ultimately revealed that Haynes supplied the fentanyl that resulted in the victim’s death.

Haynes was indicted by a Knox County grand jury for second-degree murder on April 8, 2026. She was located and arrested on the indictment by Knox County Sheriff’s deputies and is awaiting trial.
